Huawei Debuts HarmonyOS Desktop PCs for Enterprise and Government
Huawei showed its first HarmonyOS desktop PCs, Qingyun HM650 and HM650G, at a Wuhan summit. Both use Kirin X90 and target office deployments through enterprise and government channels.
Huawei showed its first HarmonyOS desktop PCs at the 2026 HarmonyOS Office Industry Summit in Wuhan's Optics Valley Science and Technology Exhibition Center on November 5, according to IT Home. The machines are sold under the Qingyun commercial brand as HM650 for enterprise customers and HM650G for government buyers. Both run HarmonyOS and use Huawei's Kirin X90 processor.
From Notebooks to Tower Desktops
The appearance extends Huawei's HarmonyOS PC lineup beyond notebooks into tower desktops aimed at office deployments. Huawei's Qingyun site already lists HM650 and HM650G among its commercial PC products alongside notebook models such as HM740 and HM940. IT Home's photos from the summit show compact black towers with front USB-C and USB-A ports, vertical front ventilation and wired keyboards on demo desks connected to external monitors. The debut marks the first time Huawei has shown a desktop form factor in its HarmonyOS PC line.
Design and Target Workloads
Chinese coverage tied to the summit and earlier Qingyun briefings says the series uses a dual-layer cooling design and targets everyday office work as well as engineering design, simulation and software development. Huawei's smart-office product account recently said HarmonyOS PC applications have passed 21,000 titles spanning office, AI, education, entertainment and creative use cases, IT Home reported. Support documentation on Huawei's consumer site lists Qingyun HM650 and HM650G among HarmonyOS PC products covered by desktop-feature guides, confirming the models are part of the commercial PC family rather than concept units.
Availability and Specifications
Phoenix Tech, citing Huawei materials, said configurations include 16GB of memory with 512GB solid-state storage options. The machines are sold through enterprise and government channels rather than consumer retail, and Huawei claims a fully domestically sourced bill of materials for the series. Pandaily is not independently verifying those supply-chain figures. Huawei has not published a full public consumer spec sheet for the desktops at the summit, and Pandaily is not treating unofficial core-count or thermal figures as confirmed.
