NVIDIA and Meta Expand Muse AI Agent Collaboration
NVIDIA said it will invest $3 billion in Meta's equity offering, part of a $95 billion raise Meta plans to fund AI infrastructure, as the two companies expand their partnership on Muse and the Muse family of models.
NVIDIA said on Tuesday it will invest $3 billion in Meta's equity offering, adding to a partnership the two companies are widening around Muse, Meta's AI agent, and the Muse family of models. Meta said on Monday it plans to raise $95 billion to fund its AI infrastructure.
Meta's $95 Billion Raise
According to Meta, the company will first raise $35 billion in underwritten public equity offerings and then a further $60 billion through an at-the-market program. The announcement said NVIDIA, AMD and Broadcom were interested in buying up to $5 billion of the shares.
Muse Partnership and Performance
NVIDIA and Meta said in an October 26 announcement that they will expand their work on Muse and the Muse family of models to improve inference and training performance, reflecting popular demand for useful AI agents. According to the companies, Meta's Muse models and agents, which run on NVIDIA infrastructure, have delivered frontier-level benchmark performance and surging consumer downloads since launch. The two intend to deepen the collaboration by partnering on optimizations across workflows to maximize performance and improve total cost of ownership.
Security and Monitoring
The companies will also consider further collaboration on NVIDIA's OpenShell Reference Architecture, including OpenShell for safe deployment and Sentry for monitoring agent behavior. They described the work as part of broader efforts to strengthen agent security and to handle structured, unstructured and graph data processing.
Infrastructure Expansion
Meta intends to expand its deployment of NVIDIA infrastructure, including Vera Rubin and Vera CPUs, for next-generation AI agents, aiming at maximum performance per watt. Meta will also deploy NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking and BlueField-4 to support network efficiency and throughput.
Executive Comments
“AI agents represent a new computing paradigm: software that understands our goals, reasons, uses tools and gets work done on our behalf,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. He said the partnership is meant to optimize computing infrastructure end to end for capable, efficient and secure AI agents. Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Meta, said: “Muse is how we bring personal superintelligence to everyone. We're excited to keep working with NVIDIA to deliver the best personal agents and frontier models for billions of people.”
