Prime Video Debuts Full Blade Runner 2099 Trailer at NYCC; Godzilla Minus Zero Trailer Also Arrives

Prime Video unveiled the full trailer for Blade Runner 2099 at New York Comic-Con ahead of its November 25, 2026 premiere. A new trailer also arrived for Godzilla Minus Zero, the sequel to Oscar winner Godzilla Minus One.

Blade Runner 2099 Full Trailer Debuts at NYCC

Prime Video has unveiled the full trailer for its upcoming sci-fi series Blade Runner 2099 at New York Comic-Con. The streamer first offered a look at the show in July at San Diego Comic-Con, and with the premiere roughly six weeks away, co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer joined showrunner Silka Luisa onstage for the reveal.

Set 50 years after the events of Blade Runner 2049, the series depicts a world in which the replicant uprising teased in the films has taken place and humans have lost. According to Luisa, the show asks what happens when our time as a species ends, framing the question of mortality on a macro level rather than the micro level of the original film.

Yeoh stars as Olwen, a dying replicant, while Schafer plays Cora. The cast also includes Hugo Hamlet as Buster Friendly, along with Dmitri Abold, Lewis Gribben, Katelyn Rose Downey, Daniel Rigby, Johnny Harris, Amy Lennox, Sheila Atim, Matthew Needham, Tom Burke, and Maurizio Lombardi in undisclosed roles. Prime Video will release all eight episodes of Blade Runner 2099 on November 25, 2026.

Godzilla Minus Zero Trailer Arrives

A new trailer has also surfaced for Godzilla Minus Zero, the sequel to director Takashi Yamazaki's Godzilla Minus One, which became a major international hit and won the Oscar for best visual effects. The first film followed kamikaze pilot Kōichi Shikishima, who struggled with survivor's guilt after Godzilla attacked the Japanese base on Odo Island in 1945.

The official synopsis for the sequel states that war reduced Japan to zero and Godzilla plunged it into minus. Two years have passed, and just as humanity clings to a hard-won peace, a new threat strikes. The synopsis adds that there is no third time and everything ends here.

Most of the main cast returns, including Ryunosuke Kamiki as Kōichi, Minami Hamabe as Noriko, Sae Nagatani as Akiko, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Kuranosuke Sasaki, Miou Tanaka, Sakura Ando, and Yuki Yamada. Min Tanaka joins as biologist Kanji Murakami and Masami Nagasawa as Aoyama. Godzilla Minus Zero hits theaters on November 3, 2026.

Monsterverse Sequel Set for 2027

Legendary Pictures plans to release Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, its Monsterverse sequel to 2024's Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, in 2027.
