Hubble Network raises $200M at a $1.6B valuation for its satellite Bluetooth network

Seattle-based Hubble Network has raised $200 million in a new funding round, lifting the satellite startup's valuation to $1.6 billion and its total funding to about $300 million, as it builds a 60-satellite constellation for Bluetooth devices.

Hubble Network, a Seattle-based startup building a satellite network for Bluetooth devices, has raised $200 million in a new funding round, lifting the company's valuation to $1.6 billion, Bloomberg reported on September 23. Total funding now stands at about $300 million.

The company is led by Alex Haro, a co-founder of the family-tracking service Life360. It is building a constellation of 60 satellites in low-Earth orbit, designed to communicate directly with standard Bluetooth chips on the ground.

A network in two layers

Hubble's service combines satellites with a ground-based network. According to Bloomberg, it can be used to monitor objects that carry a Bluetooth chip, including packages, vehicles and pharmaceuticals, in places where cellular coverage is unavailable.

The company's pitch is that existing devices need only a firmware update to join the network. Hubble says its satellites use phased-array antennas and digital beamforming to detect low-power Bluetooth Low Energy signals from more than 600 kilometers away, and that it established the first Bluetooth connection directly to a satellite in 2024.

From seven satellites to sixty

Hubble operates seven satellites today, built with Spire Global, and aims to grow the constellation to 60 spacecraft by 2028. In 2025 it ordered two larger MuSat XL satellites from California-based Muon Space, scheduled to launch in 2027.

Earlier funding includes a $20 million Series A in 2023, a $70 million Series B in September 2025 that brought total funding to $100 million, and a $30 million investment from Seraphim Space Investment Trust announced in August 2026. Partnerships with Life360, Tile, Texas Instruments, InPlay and Samsara give Hubble access to a terrestrial tracking network of more than 90 million smartphones.

Why it matters

Direct-to-device connectivity has become one of the most closely watched areas of the space industry, as operators look for ways to link cheap, battery-powered sensors to orbit without cell towers or proprietary chips. Hubble targets customers in asset tracking, logistics, supply chain and industrial monitoring, and says its network is designed to use less power and cost less to operate than cellular alternatives.
