Claude analyzed 100 rare genetic diseases in under an hour and flagged 32 candidates for computational screening.

Novartis CEO Vas Narasimhan said AI could cut drug development from 12 years to 7-8 years. Success rates could double from 8% to 16% with better safety predictions. Major pharma spends $150-200 billion annually on R&D.
