At AI Day Singapore, NVIDIA and Partners Showcase AI Advancements Across Southeast Asia

NVIDIA AI Day Singapore, held Sept. 22-23 at the Raffles City Convention Centre, gathered the company's partners to show how AI is moving from experimentation to production across Southeast Asia. The event featured hands-on training, expert-led sessions and tools for AI and high-performance computing.

Public sector AI moves from pilot to production

Governments in the region increasingly treat AI as a matter of national strategy, aiming to move beyond pilots. NVIDIA says it is working with partners on government service delivery, critical infrastructure and public safety, and support for startups and researchers.

Singapore's HTX is starting research with the NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super and Nemotron 3 Nano Omni models for public-safety AI, while NCS advances agentic AI with Nemotron models and the NVIDIA Blueprint for video search and summarization (VSS). ST Engineering uses NeMo tools and cuOpt software for its AI Studio platform.

Malaysia's YTL AI Labs and Vietnam's Viettel AI are fine-tuning Nemotron models for local languages, and in Thailand iApp Technology adapted Nemotron 3 Nano into OpenThai 2.0 Legal with NVIDIA NeMo, powering the Thanoy legal-assistant chatbot that serves about 43,000 users.

Region-specialized AI built on Nemotron open models

Enterprises and research organizations across Southeast Asia are building region-specialized applications on NVIDIA Nemotron open models, datasets and libraries. In Singapore, AI Singapore is expanding its SEA-LION model family with Nemotron open models and NeMo tools, while Hummingbird Bioscience and LynxKite build an explainable Toxicity Knowledge Graph to speed up drug discovery.

Viettel AI says its fine-tuned Nemotron 3 Super ranked highest on both the VMLU benchmark and its in-house benchmark, while FPT Smart Cloud codeveloped Nemotron-Personas-Vietnam, an open dataset grounded in Vietnamese demographic and cultural data.

Sea becomes first in ASEAN to adopt Vera Rubin

Sea Limited, the Singapore-founded company behind Garena, Monee and Shopee, is the first enterprise in the ASEAN region to adopt the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform. On Shopee, AI helps sellers create product listings; Monee uses it for fraud detection and credit risk assessment, and Garena applies it to gaming experiences.
