CesiumAstro Raises $730M Series D to Build Synchronicity Constellation

CesiumAstro has secured $730 million in a Series D funding round at a valuation exceeding $4.5 billion on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026. The round supports its move from supplying communications payloads to developing and operating its own orbital network. Funding will help build and launch the planned Synchronicity constellation.

Funding and manufacturing plans

The round includes $630 million in equity led by Janus Henderson and $100 million in debt financing from J.P. Morgan and the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM). It builds on an earlier $470 million funding milestone backed by EXIM's "Make More in America" initiative for a phased-array manufacturing complex in Texas. Proceeds will fund physical buildout and mass production lines for end-to-end flight vehicle integration.

Synchronicity constellation

Synchronicity is a planned 737-satellite constellation intended to deliver flexible communications services to commercial, sovereign, and defense users. It will operate across Ku-band, Ka-band, and V-band spectrum for high-throughput terrestrial and inter-satellite links. Onboard artificial intelligence will route beams dynamically and allocate bandwidth in real time based on active network demand.

Platform heritage and next steps

The architecture expands on CesiumAstro's Element satellite platform. The Element-1 precursor satellite launched in October to validate the core radio frequency payload and processing architecture in orbit. With the Series D closed, the company will accelerate payload manufacturing, regulatory filings, and constellation assembly at its Austin production complex.
