Google Gemini Enterprise Connects With Linear for AI-Assisted Issue Workflows

Google Gemini Enterprise has gained an official connector for Linear, bringing issue and project data into Gemini for AI-assisted work. Authorized users can search, summarize and analyze Linear information, and create new issues or pull data from existing ones without leaving the Gemini interface.

What the connector does

According to Google Cloud's Linear connector configuration guide and Linear's own Gemini Enterprise integration page, four capabilities are documented: searching Linear data from Gemini Enterprise, summarizing and analyzing information across connected work applications, pulling data from existing Linear issues and projects, and creating new Linear issues inside Gemini.

A typical request might ask Gemini to show high-priority issues assigned to a particular user. Instead of opening filters and saved views first, the user phrases the question in natural language. The point is not to replace Linear's project-management features — Linear data becomes part of a broader Gemini Enterprise workflow.

OAuth setup, not a simple toggle

The connector works over OAuth. Google Cloud's setup process requires an administrator or authorized implementer to create a Linear OAuth application, obtain client credentials and configure a Linear data store in Gemini Enterprise. That configuration establishes the connection Gemini Enterprise needs to work with Linear data.

This is an important practical distinction: the integration is not an ordinary switch in a consumer app. Access depends on an organization configuring the connector and authorizing it through Linear. Teams are advised to test it against their existing projects and issue conventions before relying on Gemini's answers.

The official material confirms that the connector exists and describes the configuration path. It does not state separate pricing for the Linear integration, and it does not establish that the connector is included with every Gemini offering, including consumer Gemini products.
