Ideogram 4.5 edits part of an image without changing the rest
Ideogram has released Ideogram 4.5, a model the company says edits only the region a user selects. It comes in four quality tiers priced from 0.8 to 22 cents per image at 2K resolution.
Ideogram has introduced Ideogram 4.5, a new image editing model that the company says changes only the part of an image a user selects, leaving the rest untouched. When a user swaps an outfit, the person's body shape and background remain unchanged.
Editing only what was selected
According to Ideogram, the model touches only what the user tells it to. Leading models such as GPT-Image 2.5 and Nano Banana have improved significantly in this regard, but they still produce artifacts, especially after multiple edits in a row. Early testers report that images edited with Ideogram 4.5 keep their consistency across successive edits.
Target use cases
Ideogram lists product photography, interior design, photo restoration and in-image text editing as the model's main use cases. In all of them, the key requirement is that changing one detail leaves the rest of the image intact.
Pricing and availability
Ideogram 4.5 comes in four quality tiers priced from 0.8 to 22 cents per image, all at native 2K resolution. The model is available now on the Ideogram platform and through the API. Partners include Picsart, Runway, Pika and Leonardo AI, and Ideogram says an open-weight release is coming soon.
