Meta launches a version of its Muse AI agent for small businesses

Meta introduced a new version of its Muse AI agent for small business owners, weeks after launching the consumer version of the assistant. According to Engadget, Muse for Small Business is aimed at companies that already rely on Meta's professional tools for running their presence on the platform.

What the agent connects to

Business owners can link their professional and creator accounts on Facebook and Instagram, as well as their advertising accounts. That level of access lets Muse read analytics tied to those accounts, produce insights and carry out tasks related to a company's social media presence, including ad campaigns.

Third-party services

Meta has also added support for 15 outside services: Asana, Box, Canva, Dropbox, Figma, Granola, HighLevel, Intuit QuickBooks, Klaviyo, Lovable, Notion, Shopify, Slack, Stripe and Zoom. If owners connect those accounts, the company says, the agent can handle much larger goals and pull data from those apps.

Sample prompts Meta suggests include: “How was my business's financial performance this month? Find any expenses that look off”, “I'm underwater. What do I need to pay attention to from my email, calendar, news? Can you take any of it off my plate?” and “Analyze this year's sales, campaigns and social, and make me a growth plan to meet my business goals for next year.”

Price and context

As with the consumer version, Meta says Muse for Small Business is free “for most of what people need”, while heavier or more intensive use may require a subscription. The launch comes one day after Meta announced a new enterprise business selling AI services to large firms.

Meta says the agent was built with layers of privacy and security. Giving it access to business data still carries the same caveats as using Muse in personal life: the agent may behave unpredictably or misinterpret an instruction.
