Why it matters
Hugging Face hosts millions of models and datasets that developers build on daily. NVIDIA already joined its 2023 funding round. Owning the platform would tie the chipmaker closer to open-model builders, but could complicate the neutrality that lets it serve rivals' hardware, including AMD and Intel.
