Google Cloud adds OpenAI GPT-6 models to Model Garden

Google Cloud now offers OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol, and GPT-6 Luna models in its Model Garden, giving enterprise customers unified billing, strict data perimeters, and isolated access for secure AI workloads.

OpenAI models added to Model Garden

Google Cloud has added OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol, and GPT-6 Luna to its Model Garden, making it the only hyperscale cloud provider that offers all three leading closed-source large language models alongside more than 200 first-party, third-party, and open models on a single enterprise AI platform.

Customers can select and swap models for each workload based on performance, latency, and cost without architectural lock-in or separate vendor contracts, and all usage appears on a single Google Cloud invoice that draws down existing commitments and counts toward Flexible Savings Plans.

Enterprise governance and security

The platform enforces strict data perimeters so that prompts, context, and outputs remain inside the customer's designated perimeter and are never used to train foundation models, with Zero Data Retention options coming soon.

OpenAI models run on dedicated Google Cloud infrastructure with Confidential Compute coming soon, and all queries are routed through hardened isolated gateways ensuring data transit stays within Google Cloud's secure environment.

Unified auditing and identity give IT administrators end-to-end visibility, VPC Service Controls protection, and unified audit logging across the entire enterprise footprint.

Availability and next steps

GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol, and GPT-6 Luna are rolling out now in private preview to select enterprise customers in Model Garden, and developers can connect local Codex CLI and Desktop workflows directly to the Gemini platform for inference.

OpenAI models will soon be available in Gemini for business and Google Antigravity, extending model choice flexibility to a broader set of enterprise customers and developers.
