AI infrastructure firm Accelevation and backers raise $540 million in US IPO
Accelevation and its selling shareholders priced 30 million shares at $18 each, below the marketed $20 to $24 range, raising $540 million in a closely watched test of the AI infrastructure theme.
Accelevation and its selling shareholders raised $540 million in a US initial public offering, the private equity-backed data center infrastructure company said on Tuesday, Reuters reported.
Terms of the offering
The company and its backers sold 30 million shares at $18 apiece, below the marketed range of $20 to $24 each. Accelevation itself sold 10 million shares, while selling stockholders affiliated with private equity firm Olympus Partners sold 20 million shares.
The offering went ahead in difficult conditions: bond yields are rising and the interest-rate environment is tightening, which has dampened investors' appetite for risk. The typically busy autumn listing window has got off to a shaky start, with market volatility prompting several companies to delay their flotation plans.
A test for the AI infrastructure theme
The listing is being closely watched as a key test of the AI infrastructure theme, as investors become more selective. Setbacks in the data center sector could narrow the window to tap the IPO market even further.
"AI infrastructure is the dominant theme of the 2026 IPO market, but there's no question that market conditions have worsened," said Matt Kennedy, a senior strategist at Renaissance Capital. "Not long ago, IPO investors would line up for almost any AI infrastructure play. That's no longer the case. New AI stocks aren't a 'sure thing' like they were in the early summer. We saw some cracks in the story with Holtec Nuclear's postponement."
Growth and backers
Accelevation was founded by Michael and Shawn Rubiera in 2017 as a small manufacturing company, and it has expanded quickly since. Revenue reached $447.8 million in 2025, up from less than $3 million in 2021. The company is based in Miamisburg, Ohio, and provides infrastructure products and services to the data center market. Olympus Partners bought Accelevation from investment firm LFM Capital last year.
Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan were joint lead bookrunning managers. Accelevation will debut on the Nasdaq under the symbol "ACCV" on September 30.
