Bank of Georgia wins four DataIQ Awards 2026 honours for data and AI

Bank of Georgia has won four awards at DataIQ Awards 2026 for its work in data and artificial intelligence. All four came in international categories, making the bank the most-awarded participant at this year's ceremony.

DataIQ Awards is one of the leading international honours in the data and AI field. It is now in its tenth year, and roughly 400 entries were assessed in 2026. The competition brings together major companies from banking, insurance, retail, pharmaceuticals, media and telecommunications, including Lloyds Banking Group, Schneider Electric, Vodafone, Burberry and The Guardian.

Best data and AI team, and a flagship project

The first award went to the bank's data analytics and AI team, named best in the international category. Over the past three years the team embedded AI across every part of the bank and increased the annual impact of its non-credit AI initiatives tenfold. Employees have built nearly 400 AI assistants, and almost two-thirds of staff in back-office teams now use AI daily.

A second award recognised the Data Science Agent Factory as a significant achievement in data analytics and AI. The system is made up of more than 10 specialised AI agents and micro-agents that handle planning, modelling, validation and development for data science projects. Human developers lead these agent teams and verify results, which the bank says makes development several times faster than before.

Agent Orchestrator and leader of the year

The third award, for the most innovative use of AI, went to Agent Orchestrator. The product handles a task end to end: it gathers information, plans the work, writes code, runs tests and presents the result to a developer for approval. Unlike an ordinary code assistant, it does not need step-by-step instructions. Human control is retained, since a developer reviews and approves every change before it reaches production. Agent Orchestrator is already used in the bank's daily operations and handles a significant share of the software work behind its digital products.

The fourth award went to Mikheil Nadareishvili, head of data analytics at Bank of Georgia, named leader of the year in data and AI in the large-organisation category. According to DataIQ, the 2026 awards highlighted organisations that use data and AI for real business results rather than experiments.
