Manus launches Manus 2.0 and Cue, giving every personal agent its own email and number

A new agent architecture

Manus announced Manus 2.0 on 28 September 2026, describing it as new architecture, new products and new capabilities rather than a routine version update. Bloomberg also reported the launch.

At its foundation is Cascade, the newest version of Manus's in-house agent harness. It keeps a project light and brings in specialized capabilities only when the work needs them, so a brief, a page, a video and an automation stay parts of one connected project. In one tested configuration, Manus says Cascade used 23.2% fewer tokens, finished tasks in 28.2% less time and cost 32% less than the previous system.

Cloud Computer and event-triggered automations

Two additions target work that outgrows one machine. Cloud Computer is a dedicated environment users can buy, from the server behind a multiplayer game to a permanent home for an automation that runs around the clock. Automations extend the existing Scheduled Tasks: a new email, a change in ad performance, a calendar event, a Slack message or a Notion update can now start work, set up by describing in one prompt what to watch and what to do next.

Manus Studio, Video Editor and Game Dev

The desktop app becomes Manus Studio, a shared workspace for people and AI, with upgrades across documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, slides, websites, code, games and video. Video Editor puts the pieces of a generated video on a timeline, so clips, images, text and audio can be swapped or replaced with the user's own footage. Its Alchemy mode combines video and code generation and takes on creative direction, while Game Dev starts from a playable template and can publish a game as a website anyone can play from a link. A Remote Control feature built on Computer Use lets owners direct their computer from a phone.

Cue: a separate app for personal agents

Manus also introduced Cue, a standalone app for personal agents on phone and desktop, built on the same infrastructure. Each agent gets its own email, phone number, wallet and computer, so it can send messages, pay within a budget the user sets and see a task through on its own machine. Several agents can share a group chat with a shared goal and hand work to one another. Cue is available on web, desktop and mobile, with iOS awaiting App Store review, and is free in early access with an invite code.
